Thessaloniki has been included in the top 10 "Ultimate party cities" of Lonely Planet¢s new guide "1000 Ultimate Experiences," which brings together 1000 ideas, places and activities to inspire and entertain travellers.

According to a Reuters report, Thessaloniki - Greece's second largest city - has style, plenty of fashionable shops and salons, and boasts great nightlife from arty cafes to Latin bars to discos pumping out house music to salacious bouzoukia: a great experience after a day¢s visit to the sublime Byzantine churches, museums and ruins.

The list of the "Ultimate party cities" includes Belgrade, Montreal, Buenos Aires, Dubai, La Paz, Cape Town, Baku, Auckland and Tel Aviv.
