The most well-known wax museums of Greece is the "Pavlos Vrellis Museum of Hellenic History, (in Greek)" in Bizani in the prefecture of Ioannina. Founded by the artist Pavlos Vrellis in February 1983, the museum includes figures made of wax related to Greek History. Housed in a traditional building of "Epirus-style" architecture, the museum offers visitors. There are two more museums of wax figures in Greece: one in the village of Mavrochori in the Kastoria Prefecture and the other in Zoniana in Crete. Lastly, the Image Design Centre in the centre of Athens is exhibiting eighty wax figures from Greek mythology, famous persons from the world of politics and art, as well as heroes from children's stories. The
gallery figures are from the Saint-Petersburg museum of wax figures. Source: Greek news Agenda |
